The project structure:
The Purpose:
The need for central network of national information.
The process of connecting and integrating the data of the governmental bodies in the field of Information Technology & System has become an imperious necessity as one of the most important pillars for completing and developing national database. Especially, State of Kuwait has exerted outstanding efforts for benefiting from the use of information technology and its special bases. Furthermore, Kuwait has presented operational scenarios to shorten the time and effort of citizens and agencies too. Information network and databases have widely spread inside the public and private institutions. However, it's remarkable that these networks are not linked in an integrated way around the country. Therefore, it can be seen as a vital matter for establishing one of the fundamental structures to strengthen and enhance the process of development. Thus, the process of connecting and integrating of information comes into effect to bridge this gap.
The goal of Kuwait Information Network:
Kuwait Information Network aims at:
  1. Linking all the government authorities through a single automated network that allows transmitting information in its different forms (data, voice, and image) and at high speeds to secure the confidentiality of information at all its transmitting and processing stages.
  2. Connecting all the government authorities with the Kuwait formal automated gate so this gate will become the main gateway to be used by the citizens, residents and website visitors to access services and information offered automatically by these authorities.
  3. Providing information confidentially and securely, so it reduces the risks of hacking attacks and security threats against the governmental bodies at all gateways whether at connection points with these authorities or at surfing the E-portal.
  4. Providing the automated network management service through control center operating around the clock and monitoring all network devices and their  effectiveness, and there are well-versed technicians for responding all  malfunctions inquiries, technical and security alerts quickly and effectively.
